What you’ll be doing
- Project Manage the delivery of the separation requirements of the divested entity.
- Day to day project management responsibilities across phases of the deal from pre-deal diligence to post close separation and transition services (TSA) exit.
- Plans resource requirements and assigns tasks and inspire teams that may never have collaborated to work towards a shared goal.
- Organise and facilitate project kick off.
- Support the drafting of TSA Schedules, managing separation planning, Day 1 readiness and deal cutover.
- Support TSA governance and managing TSA exit activities, financials, and key metrics.
- Develop, deploy, and leverage the M&A toolkit to identify and monitor action items and coordinate issues and dependencies.
- Help work streams balance competing priorities and manage differences that may arise.
- Anticipate, plan, and solve cross function interdependencies.
- Building and managing the project budget identifying, tracking, and capturing synergies
- Conduct post – mortems on deal separation execution and feed back into process improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a subject matter expert representing Corporate Technology M&A Centre of Excellence in developing, espousing the philosophies, processes, and results of the team.
- Flexible aptitude to applications, data and architecture project scenarios
- Stakeholder mapping and engagement
- Creation of relevant status reports that are appropriate to relevant audiences including Board level.
- Support the continuous improvements process to drive process maturity.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to understand and incorporate synergy opportunities and operational risks into business and financial plans.
- Establish and maintain strong and supportive relationships across all capabilities and business units to enable the swift and effective management of issues, risks and dependencies when escalated.
- Contribute to the overall development of the wider M&A department and take ownership of shared deliverables where identified.
- Continuously adopt a pragmatic, flexible, and responsive approach
- Working with teams in multiple locations simultaneously
- Apply judgement to assess the relative importance of assigned tasks and prioritises effectively.
You’ll bring (Candidate Profile / Key Skills)
- 10+ years of combined Project Management & Business Analysis experience
- Recent and direct experience in Corporate Development within a financial services organisation of a similar scale to LSEG
- Excellent workshop facilitation and presentation skills
- End to end project lifecycle experience
- Expert stakeholder management
- Ability to quickly prioritize is essential.
- Able to clearly communicate goals and objectives.
- Able to see the big picture with an eye for detail (microscope and telescope views)
- Must be a collaborative person who can push things along through influence and persuasion.
- Experience with projects in multiple technologies, functions (e.g., transaction management, risk management etc.) and industries
- Exceptional understanding of the change management process / lifecycle and it’s practical application
- Ability to develop and leverage relationships/ influence key stakeholders both internally and externally
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively as needed to deliver against objectives
- Demonstrated track record as a self-starter with the ability to multi-task and prioritize among competing demands; ability to wear multiple hats and be both a "thinker" and a "doer"
- Experience of working with multiple ‘Corporate technologies’, to enable recognition of interdependencies in end-to-end processes that bisect functional boundaries (JML etc)
- Highly motivated / Strong work ethic – Proven commitment to adapt and champion time sensitive/mission critical processes operating in a global and matrix-type organization
- Beneficial to have recent experience in a consulting firm or industry of preparing and delivering technology programmes in an M&A environment
- Professional presentation skills with impact, competent in presenting ideas clearly, convincingly to influence senior stakeholders and possessing personal presence, with the ability to earn trust and respect
- Strong Process Management skills - able to understand and coordinate complex organizational processes and consolidate input from multiple stakeholders
- Fast learner and able to link diverse sources of information to our business including ability to handle confidential information and materials with appropriate discretion
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills - ability to communicate findings in a compelling manner to internal and external audiences which include senior level executives
- Exceptional project management capabilities and ability to drive multi-disciplinary teams of internal and external stakeholders to deliverables on tight deadlines
