The Integrated Digital Service works across Leeds City Council and the Integrated
Care Board (Leeds) - opening up a number of exciting prospects to work within the health and care sector and local authority. The Integrated Digital Service is improving how services are delivered, using user research to inform technology solutions that are accessible, easy to use and reliable. We are innovating and changing services by investing in automation through technologies such as power platform and RPA. Leeds City Council are looking for Project Managers who will be responsible for managing a project from inception through to live operational running. The role ensures the delivery of specified products and services within agreed time, quality and cost parameters.
The Project Manager will:
- Ensure the caseload of programmes / projects are being effectively governed and managed, with resources, budget, risks and quality all being effectively managed.
- Ensure that your direct reports are effectively managing their projects. proactively input into the design and maintenance of the standards, processes, templates and tooling that the Project
- Management community will adopt.
- Ensure that they and direct reports are meeting all skill categories in the
IDS PMO Skills Framework Lead, and manage confidential, challenging and highly sensitive issues/situations which involve negotiation, persuasion and influencing skills to plan and deliver a diverse range of programmes and projects that will enable the digital change required to support the strategic direction of our partnerships. Ensure that the appropriate tooling, methodologies, process and templates are being used to support project delivery and proactively input into the review and redesign of IDS Programme and Project methodologies.
The right candidate will have experience at managing IT and business change projects using both traditional and agile methodologies.
The function has adopted the APM Competence Framework and uses this as part of staff recruitment, development and on-going assessment.
