GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB

THIS POSITION IS OPEN TO CURRENT CITY OF CAPE CORAL EMPLOYEES

AND THE PUBLIC IS WELCOME TO APPLY.

AT THIS TIME, WE ARE HIRING FOUR (4) EMPLOYEES FOR THE

NIGHT SHIFT WORKING FROM 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM.

THE POSITION

Monitors and responds in an appropriate manner to 9-1-1 emergency and non-emergency telephone lines and TDD devices for incoming requests for service of the City's law enforcement, fire/rescue and emergency medical agencies.
Responds quickly and correctly to calls, assumes control of the conversation in order to obtain accurate information from callers and correctly transfers the information into a computer while talking and assessing the priority of the request for service.
Answers all incoming calls to the City's 911 center; disseminates information and performs routine clerical tasks.
Perform other related duties as required.
