WHAT TO EXPECT
This role supports the Manufacturing Engineering function by identifying, coordinating, developing and managing operational processes alongside the day to day continuous improvements.
With business wide exposure, this role will provide an excellent customer experience to internal and/or external customers and manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels. These are likely to be cross functional with a level of complexity.
This role sits within the central projects team but will support all GME technology areas in their day to day activities
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Business process mapping and departmental procedure ownership including:
Defining, creating and updating all relevant business process documentation in line with corporate standards for Global Manufacturing Engineering
Working with all areas within Global Manufacturing engineering to ensure cross functional alignment of business processes and methods. At times this will include engagement with the wider Manufacturing function.
Ensuring all documents are created, stored and maintained through the JLR way and meet corporate standards.
Managing the Functional Scorecard and Policy deployment processes:
Ensuring the functional Objectives support the Manufacturing and Enterprise KPIs
Chair the monthly functional scorecard reviews to monitor progress against targets
Support wider GME teams in Scorecard Management ensuring cross functional alignment at all times
Co-coordinating the QMS/EMS strategy for the function. This will include:
Leading the development of the document & record management system for GME ensuring compliance to the corporate standards
Defining the audit schedule and ensuring that all teams have appropriate facilitation in place
Drive and maintain the departmental cadence and governance through:
Driving the GME meeting cadence framework across all functions ensuring alignment of approach and outputs
Development and maintenance of the Global manufacturing Engineering shared areas, websites and sharepoints ensuring robust data control
Development of a departmental People strategy that will encompass:
Development and execution of a standardized Onboarding processes applicable to the relevant sub functions within GME
Development of the functional strategic workforce plan that will drive future talent development and early careers recruitment.
Act as conduit for information requests from different parts of the business including responding to requests for management information and reporting.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Relevant previous experience of Business Process Management
Significant experience of managing multi-skilled teams cross functionally
Excellent IT skills including use of Microsoft Visio, ARIS Maps, Sharepoint, SAP, Webpage maintenance.
Detailed understanding of IATF19649 standards and how to deploy them internally.
Understanding / Experience of Business Management processes (planning / resourcing etc.)
Able to work in a structured way managing complex problems and datasets.
Ideally educated to Degree Level in Manufacturing or Business Management discipline
Advanced knowledge of key business systems and processes, e.g. quality tools and techniques
Evidence of leadership ability and interpersonal skills
