Job description
A UK Crane and Material Handling Company is looking to recruit a Project Manager to be an integral part of the business due to a recent expansion of the business. This position will be based at our site in Chester. Our desired candidate will have;
- A good understanding of the core phases of Project Management-
- Previous experience of roles within project management, including the scope of all key milestones from the call for tender stage through to final acceptance.
- Have a technical background and possess engineering qualifications. This role will include electrical/mechanical lifting solutions.
- Strong communication skills with all stakeholders at all all levels.
- Have knowledge of all relevant standards required to deliver compliant projects (e.g ISO standards)
Responsibilities:
- Agreeing project objectives
- Coordinating internal resources and third parties for the flawless execution of projects
- Ensuring all projects are delivered on time in a safe manner and in accordance with the scope and Health and Safety legislation
- Ensuring resource availability
- Providing advice on the management of Projects including the role within the CDM regulations
- Carrying out suitable and sufficient risk assessments under the guidance of the health and safety representative and ensuring compliance
- Making sure quality standards are met
- Recruiting specialists and sub-contractors with a similar health and safety culture
- Overseeing costings and billing
- Managing the production of the required deliverables
- Monitoring overall progress and use of resources, initiating corrective action where necessary
- Control and collation of all documents
