Job description

  • Position: Senior Project Manager
  • Pay: £30.19 - £35.86
  • Location: North West Anglia
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm 37.5 hours 1 day WFH possible.
  • Duration: Temp 3 months

The Role

  • To take lead accountability ensuring the most effective planning, development, delivery and financial management of all services are provided.
  • To provide and receive highly complex information, communicate policies and technical information to Senior Managers, Directors, high level negotiations with contractors, consultant parties, local authority officers and other external bodies.
  • To oversee the Estates financial and business performance, ensuring adherence to the Trust Standard Financial Instructions (SFI), financial governance requirements, internal financial targets and external reporting key performance indicators.
  • To support the development of long term strategic plans that are relevant and impact across the whole organisation in support of the clients objectives.
  • Lead the production of the design brief and manage design development, including leading and coordinating the multi-disciplinary design teams.
  • Identify and deliver cost improvement opportunities and service efficiency's that may improve the organisation’s operations;

Skills Required

  • Engineering background essential.
  • Proven improvement abilities with the highly developed analytical, managerial, business and leadership skills required to operate at a senior level
  • Understanding of the key drivers of performance and how to improve outcomes.
  • To take responsibility for ensuring that the project is delivered within the funding available and that this represents value for money.
  • Experience of working in a complex organisation at a senior level delivering multiple large- scale projects.
  • Political awareness and experience of operating in a politically sensitive and unpredictable environment.
  • Good written, numerical & IT skills with good verbal communications.
