UnspecifiedCollins Aerospace Connected Aviation Solutions (CAS) is currently seeking a Project Manager (Airports) who can provide both project management expertise for the delivery of Collins Aerospace projects in the European region as well as leading bid efforts to help grow our business to join our team. This role is assigned to our facility in Crawley, West Sussex, UK and can be Hybrid* or Remote* (within the UK).
Role Overview:
The Project Manager (Airports) will be responsible for managing projects in Europe, to deliver projects on time, within budget and in a manner that enhances Collins’ reputation and to encourage additional business from customers as well as coordinating an Integrated Project Team in delivering successful bid proposals to new and existing customers.
The Project Manager (Airports) will manage all the required efforts associated with an overall project or bid and will be required to manage one or more projects or bids simultaneously.
Role Responsibilities:
Managing projects exceeding customer expectations and to guarantee a successful project launch for both for Collins Aerospace and the customer;
Acting as the focal lead during bid responses to an Integrated Project Team and aiding in delivering quality proposals for prospective new opportunities;
Provide guidance for development of project schedule and budget and monitor project execution for compliance with defined targets and objectives;
Helping to specify, order and then monitor the purchasing process to acquire equipment, and then authorise payment to suppliers, and/or executing warranties of the products;
Overseeing onsite installation activities, testing, training, monitoring and management of the interface with the customer throughout the project duration;
Obtain system acceptance from customer and then handing over the project to Customer Service staff or Site Management staff;
Organise and lead Project Status Review meetings and cost analysis with all stakeholders;
Maintaining project documentation in accordance with ISO guidelines;
Delegating work to appropriate people, whether they are with Collins Aerospace, the customer, or third parties;
Develop and enforce standard of operations using project management tools & techniques, such as MS Project, critical path analysis, time recording systems and other systems to manage projects;
Assisting with the negotiation of Terms of Service Agreements with subcontractors;
Applying project management skills and techniques, e.g., matrixed team leading, multi-tasking and financial awareness to deliver high quality projects;
Contribute to sales/marketing effort by being alert to new business opportunities, and assisting with related proposals, customer-facing presentations, and other support of the sales process;
Direct Project delivery and bid team leadership is expected to be split approximately 50 / 50 but could flex;
Travel: 30%
Basic Qualifications - Technical/Professional:
BS/BA degree in a Project Management discipline or equivalent
Proven experience as a Project Manager; ideally in an Airline/Airport environment
Advanced Microsoft Project and MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Experience in an operational environment
Experience in Financial Management
Adaptable to work in an ever-changing and demanding operational environment, including coordination with the overall global team.
PMP or Prince2 qualification preferred.
Proven track record of successful project delivery

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
