As project manager, you will work across the business delivering key projects, focusing on those projects which impact our logistics, stock and back-office systems. Responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on-time, within scope and to a high quality, you will have a meticulous eye for detail, strong communication & time management skills.

Working alongside project owners you will deliver on roadmap/ad-hoc projects. Responsible for understanding the project to a fine detail, collating all requirements and assets across the business, and managing deadlines. Working closely with systems analysts you will translate the high-level brief into technical requirements and specifications. Understand how analysts and developers are breaking down tasks and reporting on the deadlines.

You will provide project reports and updates for the team and owner to keep everyone up to date with any blockers/movement on tasks.

Building a firm understanding and relationships of all departments across the business, knowing who you need certain information from.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end projects from conceptualisation through to final delivery.
  • Work with the project owner to create an overarching project brief defining scope, objectives and build understanding of technical specification
  • Work with and support Systems Analysts to plan project into releases
  • Work across the business collating information/assets that are required for the project
  • Keep the wider projects team up to date with project progression
  • Arrange kickoffs, standups and retrospective meetings.
  • Create & track reports on projects - measuring delivery vs original plans, highlighting risks of missed deadlines, complications. You will keep project owners up to date on all areas of the project on a regular basis.
  • Keep up to date with development of our internal systems, giving you the ability to field high level technical questions.
  • Document projects within Confluence keep a record of all decisions, meetings and changes to original specifications.

Skills:

  • Working knowledge of JIRA & Confluence
  • Certified in, or familiarity with, at least one recognised Project Management methodology
  • Collaborative and supportive approach to project deliverability and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Friendly and approachable, but with the ability to be assertive when necessary
  • Conflict resolution
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
