GENERAL SUMMARY
Reporting to the Project Management Lead, the Project Manager is the owner of specific Filter/Strainer and packaged equipment contracts & orders, and is responsible for the outcome of the project execution of individual requirements including technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost.
The incumbent will work to successfully deliver projects in a manner that fulfils contractual and technical requirements, meets or exceeds customer expectations, and adheres to safety and ethical standards while achieving target margins and promoting Celeros Flow Technology’s reputation in the market-place.
The Project Manager maintains and delivers projects as determined by the Project Management Lead and assists in managing technical/specification/operational risks and issues, participating in tendering activity, including proposals, through to project closure/cash collection. Any shortfalls in achieving project goals are turned into lessons learned to get resolved for future projects.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
Deliver on Commitments
- Work across boundaries and collaborate to achieve results with ethics and integrity
- Interpret customer requirements and specifications in an accurate and timely manner
- Liaise with customers on matters of progress, specification and resolution of issues
Contract Management
- Review project contracts, ensure deliverables meet contract requirements
- Provide contract clarifications, interact between all parties involved
- Produce and manage key documents (e.g. ITP, SDRL, Project Schedule and Project Workbook
Project Handover
- Participate in project handover activities with Tendering, Engineering and commercial teams
- Review the Handover checklist, ensure all project aspects and risks are understood and clarified
Customer Relations
- Primary contact for Primary Customer communication and for End User customer as allowed by contract
- Travel to customer or internal meetings when required (offices, job sites, workshops)
- Hosts customers at facility when required for meetings, witness points and unit sign off
Project Schedule
- Responsible for the On-time delivery of project milestones in terms of definition
- Attend meetings regarding schedule, specification and execution
- Project time schedule management between engineering, supply chain, operations and all other functional teams involved in meeting the project deliverables
Project Execution
- Works to meet or pull in timeframes in original project plan
- Works in alignment with the defined Project management process and tools
- Ensure compliance of all documentation and packaging for domestic and international projects
Financial
- Material costing and as-sold margin verification and improvement
- Ensure stage payment schedules are met and invoicing is maintained in accordance with the Project Schedule and Deliverables.
Change Order Management
- Manages Change orders and variations specific projects
- Assist in ensuring change orders maximize the financial and schedule business needs
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in a successful Lessons Learned process to inform other projects and/or functions of new projects
- Participate in initiatives to refine and improve current processes and methods within the Projects Management Function
- Participate in inter-functional initiatives to refine and improve processes and methods
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- BA/ Engineering Degree or relevant experience
- Experience working on international projects is desirable
- Extensive and proven project and/or implementation management experience across Engineering, Procurement and Manufacturing/ /Commissioning.
- Engineering experience is an advantage
- Good knowledge of budgets, risk management, customer facing experience.
- Experience in the Industrial or Power & Energy markets is desirable but not essential
- SAP systems experience, MS Project experience
Due to the nature of this role, candidates must be able to apply and obtain UK Security Clearance.
