Project Manager
Location: Winnersh, Reading

The Project Manager is responsible for the Commercial and Technical success of all projects allocated to them.
The person should be fully aware of project lifecycle and have proven experience (including hands on) of a variety of our project activities (e.g. design, drawing, documentation, manufacture, automation). Excellent project management and planning skills are required, along with commercial and contractual knowledge.
Main Responsibilities
- Responsibility for projects within Water, Specifically Thames Water {Commercially}. Work closely with the Management team and Programme Manager on all commercial and contractual aspects for their allocated projects.
- Responsibility for projects {Technically}. Work closely with the Engineering Team, Management Team and Programme Manager to ensure that the solution provided is of minimum cost whilst being technically acceptable and in accordance with the client specifications and the Bilfinger offer under the fixed price terms.
- Maintenance of all stakeholder relationships and development of new business opportunities.
- Lead by example to the required Health & Safety Standards for BUK and the Client.
- Manage Company Resource with other Project Managers and the Programme manager. Ensure all resources are utilised productively at all times, and customer requirements are met.
- Develop and maintain the Delivery programme. In conjunction with the Management Team identify the obligations, both in terms of activities and timescales, of all parties
- Submission of Monthly Progress Reports to the Programme Manager requirements are met
- Change Management and governance of projects.
- Participate in Monthly project review sessions both internally and with the client
- Work closely with the Management Team to identify risks, consequences and mitigating actions in order to remove risks as quickly as possible
- Ensure that team members are provided with the requisite task definitions, information and tools to perform the allocated tasks
- Define and manage the quality objectives for the project, ensuring that they are appropriate to the client and project.
- Management of team members development and succession, sharing skills with other water contracts where possible.
Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years in a Project Management or similar role
- Experience of industrial services sector, preferably Water/Waste Water and TWUL
- Knowledge of best practice of planning and cost control systems
- Evidence of risk and change management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
- Proficient in MS Project Planning Software
- Degree; professional/post graduate commercial, business or management qualification (Desirable)
- Membership of appropriate professional body(Desirable)
