Project Manager Basel VI
London
As a Barclays Project Manager Basel VI, you will support strategic Credit and Muni initiatives in the FICC Risk and Pricing Space, in particular relating to the Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB). This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the team developing a suite of new calculations and shaping the future of Barclays. - Working with the Credit and Muni IT delivery team, the Credit Business and front to back stakeholders on project planning, prioritization, management, tracking and execution
- Providing project transparency and status updates for the above in Navigator and other project update artifacts, and managing various program and client engagement forums
- Participating in senior PM forums as a representative for Credit/Muni/ICE areas and face-off to various programs as part of project initiation and planning activities
- Taking accountability for creating and managing the project plan that will ensure on-time, effective delivery of front to back (F2B) outcomes in line with the business case
- Conducting detailed analysis, as required, to supplement the project delivery role and/or engaging with technical business analysts in other teams
- Ensuring that planned outputs deliver the agreed outcomes and that the outcomes remain relevant, course correcting where required to ensure the programme delivers on its aims
- Providing and regularly reviewing an honest, transparent assessment of the project status and RAID of the initiative, escalating via appropriate governance
- Creating and managing the business case for the project, partnering with the Accountable Executive and Programme Manager from inception through delivery to closure
What we’re looking for:
- Broad Project Management skill set
- Qualified experience in successful managing front office projects
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills leading to solid partnerships
- Extensive experience working in the technology delivery space with technology teams
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Bachelor Degree, preferably with a technical or economic/finance background
- Project management qualification desirable
