Who we’re looking for:
We are looking for a driven, team player with an obsession for the customer, an interest in technology and a varied experience in creative problem-solving. You needn’t have a ‘product’ background or innovation experience, but you will need to be inquisitive, meticulous and ready to learn.
As BT moves from Telco to Techco, we need to hatch the unicorns of tomorrow. We’re a Lean team which operates as an in-house startup incubator. You will have a strong track record of driving change in organisations large or small. You will be confident working in a fast-paced environment and able to overcome challenges quickly. You will have excellent stakeholder management skills and an ability to have fun, doing impactful work with varied colleagues and customers.
What you'll be doing
- Identifying opportunities to innovate in areas adjacent to Telco capable of generating significant, incremental external revenue
- Triaging opportunities according to BT’s strategies, right to play and the size of the opportunity
- Working within our RapidWorks innovation system to:
- Clearly articulate problem statements and visions
- Identify the most important, most uncertain assumptions
- Consider a multitude of customer segments
- Design and conduct robust customer experiments to validate or invalidate assumptions
- Draw meaningful insights from a body of evidence
- Conduct market evaluation exercise
- Present Continue/Pivot/Stop recommendations to a Growth Board
- Working closely with our team Coach to improve your practice, get the very best from the framework and push outside of your comfort zone
- Building strong relationships in and outside of the business
- Taking the most viable opportunities to market, including product strategy, engineering and GTM
- Becoming an advocate for our RapidWorks innovation system, including running workshops with teams elsewhere in the business
