Role Details
Role Title: Project Manager (In Property)
Location: Hybrid / Warwick (1-2 days per week on-site)
Contract: Initial 6 Months
Salary: Circa* £520 per day (Inside IR35) OR Circa* £87,000 per annum with additional benefits.
The individual would lead on several concurrent projects as part of a wider strategic property programme to ensure the projects are delivered to time, cost, and quality. This will involve defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in line with agreed objectives and brief. Working in liaison with stakeholders to develop requirements which are realistic and achievable which can be transferred into project specifications for delivery. Preparing and managing detailed project plans which can support project delivery and communication with stakeholders.
A secondary aspect of the role is to support with the implementation of a cohesive property strategy for the operational real estate portfolio. The portfolio is wide ranging to support the delivery of operational activities and an effective investment strategy is required to ensure best value is achieved for customers. The role will support the development of appraisal activities and identifying optimum property solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure optimum value (cost and quality) is extracted from key strategic projects through undertaking feasibility assessments of customer requirements against real estate site appraisals.
- Develop financial budgets, project plans, and create business investment proposals for sanctioning.
- Work with the in-house CAPEX team to develop building standards for new build and refurbishment projects, taking into account sustainability and energy management requirements in-line with company's strategy.
- Deliver cradle-to-grave projects in a timely and cost-effective manner, including optimal development solutions, project plans, risk identification, logistics planning, and delivery. Ensure robust and timely delivery reporting to the wider programme.
- In-line with best-practice project management standards, oversee and manage all project work (either virtually and on site when required), to ensure all project activities adhere to current company Property policy and procedures and quality standards.
- Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental issues are proactively managed by all parties throughout the project.
- Represent Corporate Property as the informed client in relation to property project matters ensuring co-ordination across the different business stakeholder groups.
- To support Safety by Design particularly by addressing site delivery issues during the development and design stages.
- Ensure the Project Risk Register is formulated and updated as the project progresses. Develop and agree contingency proposals, to address risks.
Essential Criteria:
- Prince 2, APM or equivalent qualified in project management
- Current full UK driving license.
- NEBOSH Certified (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health).
- Practical experience of delivering multiple projects, ideally in property.
- Practical applicable of the RIBA plan of works framework within a construction project.
- Knowledge of BREEAM assessments and Building Regulations.
- MRICS qualified, ideally with post-qualification experience
