Mizuho 2024 Intern Programme - Compliance Department
Our Compliance team is an independent function that identifies, addresses, advises on and monitors compliance risk – i.e. the risk of regulatory sanctions as a result of failure to comply with applicable regulations. The team manages MHI’s relationship with the regulators and advises colleagues in all business and infrastructure areas, including the Markets and Investment Banking teams on regulatory requirements in the conduct of their work.
Many graduates and interns joining the Legal and Compliance Department have an academic background in Law or Finance and an interest in pursuing relevant professional qualifications. However, whatever your degree discipline, our intern training programme will ensure that you gain a thorough understanding of the Legal and Compliance landscape through a combination of department rotations and external training. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate our core values of winning spirit, inspiring trust and diversity of thought.
Our interns will gain experience in Compliance over a 10 week period with a view to being offered a position on the Mizuho 2025 Graduate Programme, commencing September 2025.
Applicants to the Mizuho 2024 Intern Programme will ideally be in their penultimate year of undergraduate study and be available for permanent employment from September 2025.
