Tricorn Café is a food & beverage service provider that is responsible for the operation of Tricorn Café at Tricorn House in Birmingham.

The purpose of the role:

To for assist with operation of Café, including preparing high quality products and providing excellent levels of customer care.

We are looking for a Café Front of House to help prepare and serve food and drinks whilst providing high levels of customer care to those using the café facilities.

Main tasks & responsibilities:

• Assisting with day-to-day operations of the café
• Preparing and serving food, making beverages, taking customer orders and collecting money
• Attend training on food & drinks preparation and proper use of coffee and other equipment
• Receiving delivered café supplies and verifying that the correct items and quantities have been delivered.
• Maintain updated records relating to hygiene, food safety, and health & safety
• Suggesting new menu items based on customers' preferences and feedback.
• Ensure all café areas are clean and tidy
• Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation
• Willingness to attend training as appropriate, including Basic Food Hygiene and Health & Safety training and refresher training as appropriate.
• To undertake any other reasonable duties and responsibilities required at any time

Essential experience & skills:

• Good math skills
• Availability to work within opening hours
• Good communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.

Desirable experience & skills:

• Work experience within a hospitality or F&B setting
• Hands-on experience with professional coffee machines
• Food Hygiene Level 2
• Any other catering or hospitality related qualifications
