- Lead large engineering programs from inception through production launch
- Create comprehensive project plans to be shared with customers
- Develop products by leading a small team of ME and EE engineering resources
- Lead a cross functional team managing activities of each area as related to the project
- Handle all customer communications
- Track project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
- Report and escalate issues to management as needed
- Coordinate cross functional team meetings, manage actions to completion
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Work directly with cross functional team members for supplier selection and resolution of issues
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- BSME or BSEE required, PMP certification a plus
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite, MS Project
- Solid technical background, experience with motors, gearing, sensors, and electronic controls a plus
- 0-5 years experience in project management
- Leadership skills and ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams
- Excellent customer-facing skills
- Advanced time management and analytical skills
- Ability to summarize technical content in a format that’s easy to comprehend
- Solid interpersonal skills and team orientation
- Strong technical and problem solving skills
- Some travel required on a quarterly basis
