Our clients are specialists in their market sector, they are looking for a skilled Project Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
Job Specification
The job you’ll do
- As a Project Engineer you will be responsible for managing & delivering project objectives to the agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality requirements.
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor assigned projects.
- Produce process drawings to aid manufacture.
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
- Take responsibility for subcontractors and procurement requirements.
- Interact e with clients to interpret their needs and requirements.
- Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.
- Assign responsibilities and mentor the project team.
- Communicate effectively with the project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
- Review engineering deliverables and initiating the appropriate corrective actions.
- Liaise with third party inspectors during surveillance activities and expediting visits.
- Develop case specifications to aid with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) modifications in relation to project work.
- Work in a safe manner; driving positive behaviour and leading by example with regard to the company’s health, safety and environmental policies.
- Carry out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected.
About You
- You must have a time served apprenticeship with a minimum of 3 years’ experience on the shop floor and have proven work experience as a Project Engineer.
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualisations software such as AutoCAD is essential.
- This role could suit someone who is familiar with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards with the ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
- We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills, is IT literate as well as someone who is able to make decisions.
- You must be organised, self-motivated with strong time management skills.
- This position will be on a full time, permanent basis working 35 hours per week, dayshift.
