Location: Site based in Glasgow and Central Belt
Salary: up to £49,000 per year - dependent on experience plus strong benefits package and extensive career progression opportunities

What you'll be doing


As a Project Engineer you will be working with a team who are responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of the High Voltage Transmission Network in southern Scotland.


Initially you will be training towards authorisations that will allow you fulfil this role, progressing towards Senior Authorised status. Full training will be given as you train alongside experienced engineers on the network.


When fully authorised, you will be responsible for Construction, Maintenance, Fault investigation/repair and Defect Management activities in your area.


What you’ll bring



As Project Engineer - you will have a requirement to respond to a number of different challenges in this role. The accountabilities are varied and a degree of knowledge is required in each area to ensure effectiveness.


Strive to maximise productivity within section, thus reducing the operational cost of the business.


An understanding of how to deliver full balance of programme activities, taking into account overall Energy Networks objectives and audacious goals.


An ability to take ownership of objectives to improve the safety and customer service culture across the organisation.

Minimum Requirements:


Preferably qualified to HND / HNC or technical equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Relevant Industry Engineering Experience.
