General description of work:
You will be creating drawings and 3D models through the lifecycle of projects from Design, Engineering, Production to Installation for acoustic architectural products.
Summary:
Create submittal drawings and shop drawings for client approval. Create production cut files and associate documents for the production team. Create installation drawings according to site conditions and product limitations. Provide support for internal projects, such as specification sheets creation, new product development and other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Proficient with Rhino and Grasshopper to develop models of products and drawings.
- Ability to software draw digital and convert to physical e.g. shop drawings, cut files, assembly directions
· Ability to interpret client needs and develop product detail drawings and shop drawings accordingly for client approval.
- Ability to improve and implement process for internal communications and Design & Engineering output
· Ability to create production files based on approved shops for digital fabrication and assembly drawings for manufacturing.
· Thoughtfully developing installation drawings to ensure ease of installation on-site.
· Must have a strong understanding of design and manufacturing processes.
· Have a good understanding of construction documents (RCP, elevations, etc)
· Highly creative individual with strong visualization design skills.
· A strong working knowledge of Rhino and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with Grasshopper, Revit, Solidworks is a plus. - please do not apply if you are not skilled with this software, your application will not be considered
· A thorough knowledge of acoustic architectural products: ceiling baffles, ceiling clouds and wall tiles/panels is a plus.
· Project management experience is a plus.
· Solve problems on the fly but ask for help from your teammates when you’re stuck.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
· Detailed oriented, organized, and can-do attitude are essential qualities.
Education & Experience:
· Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Industrial Design, or a related field.
· 2-5 years’ experience working in architecture/interior architecture/industrial design firms or related fields
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £45,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
