Role
- Projects Logistics Co-Ordinator
- 3-4 years’ experience
Key Duties to Include
- Assessing clients’ needs and providing clients with accurate information
- Identifying the most appropriate form of transit and identifying and mitigating potential risk
- Oversee and assist in the preparation and presentation of quotations for clients, recording the information on the Company databases and following up to secure business
- Booking shipments with hauliers, ocean lines and airlines
- Completing AWB’s, bills of lading, customs entries and identification and preparation of all other documentation required for export and re-import
- Liaising and updating clients, overseas agents, and suppliers as necessary
- Supervise and monitor through transit corridor with hauliers, ocean lines, airlines and overseas partners
- Ensuring correct customs procedures are being used
- Passing of supplier’s invoices
- Supervise and assist cost accruals and charging of shipments including the sending out of invoice and back up documentation to the relevant party
Hours
0900 – 1730 Monday to Friday – monitoring of shipments is sometimes required to be performed out of hours
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an operational environment (multi modal would be an asset)
- Aviation Security Training level CO Level (can be given by the Company)
- Satisfactory CRC check and satisfactory 5 year background checks and eligibility to work in the UK
- Full, clean driving licence
- Positive, ‘can-do’ attitude
- Able to organise themselves and work independently
- Ability to manage competing priorities
