When you join our team, you will become involved in supporting or delivering some of the biggest and most complex machinery installation and relocation projects in the world. Position
Purpose of role:
Ensure that standard project execution practices are followed and exercise control over key projects
Role Responsibilities:
- Safety is a priority; identify & resolve project safety risks. Ensure common Safe Systems Of Work across projects
- Engage with Key Stakeholders and input in defining, refining and implementing Standard Operating Procedures and control improvements across the group
- Independent review and assessment of key projects on behalf of the Regional Managing Director or other members of the Senior Leadership Team
- Ensure correct and effective planning, control and monitoring, both internally and directly with the customers, of certain projects secured from the quotation stage, through negotiation to contract completion and final accounts
- Audit the overall contract performance to Beck & Pollitzer standard requirements, ensuring all potential opportunities, variations and risks are identified and reported
- Lead or assist with project kick-off and closure reviews and implementation of key lessons learnt
Requirements
Role Requirements:
Essential
Experience of managing medium to large scale engineering or construction projects, ideally with regard to the relocation and installations of equipment and machinery.- Experience with T&M and Lump Sum contracts
- Experience of using Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and industry recognised project management tools for scheduling, tracking, analysis, business documents, presentations etc
- Excellent project management and team controlling skills, organising and motivating internal labour resources and sub-contractors
- Experience of ensuring good cost and budgetary controls, accounting controls and procedures
- Experience of applying health and safety legislation including risk management processes
- Understanding of engineering principles and engineering drawings
- Willing to travel at least 60% of the time
Desirable
Able to work at a consistent level under pressure and demanding deadlines- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
