Overall Purpose:
· Toeffectively support the delivery of projects by working closely with Programme and Project Managers. You will work with senior leaders and functional teams to understand the key challenges, functional strategies and opportunities, and use those insights to help shape the project approach and outcomes.
· Work in collaboration with the service providers across our Homes and Hospitals to ensure effective management and execution of projects, helping to embed a positive project culture across the organisation.
· Responsible for ensuring that all projects are planned, monitored, and controlled systematically using project methodology.
· Using project governance, you will capture outcomes and monitor risk and benefits and provide regular update reports on progress to support the Programme Board.
· Develop and inspire projects to deliver their agreed outcomes, enabling other departments to achieve success through careful and coordinated planning.
Key KPI’S: Measure of Success
To ensure the Head of Programme Delivery and Programme Board are supported by providing project management support on strategic projects which complement the delivery of our revised strategy and its re-launch.
To undertake a role in building our project skills and capacity to deliver projects across the business. Reporting directly to the Head of Programme Delivery utilising key project management documentation including project briefs, plans and reports. Regular communications will be established with the wider Senior Leadership Team to ensure strategic projects are delivered and proposals for improvements are aligned to the new developing strategic vision.
Ability to successfully support the production of update reports at Programme Board which outlines deliverables, risks and benefits.
To ensure all work deadlines, targets, projects and analytical work are adhered to and completed on time and presented in a professional manner.
Role Responsibilities
To be responsible for ensuring that all projects are systematically identified, planned, monitored, controlled and fostered in a culture of continuous improvement. The specific areas of strategic importance directly linked to this role are support and delivery of projects on the Programme Roadmap and embedding the ethos of project methodology and change management throughout the organisation. This role will underpin a number of strategic functions to ensure success.
You will be working on a major strategic change programme, developing and maintaining effective project management processes whilst providing high quality support on:
- Setting up and maintaining key project documentation including RAID logs, benefit logs and progress updates.
- Managing and delivering specific deliverables within projects.
- Tracking project metrics and actions.
- Supporting on the delivery of project workshops.
- Providing supportive services for governance meetings, organising meetings and capturing actions and decisions.
- Monitoring compliance to project management standards, processes and artefacts.
Skills/Competencies/Qualifications
- Experience working in a highly governed environment.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Stakeholder management skills.
- Experience using project documentation including RAID logs.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritise workload and work to deadlines especially with competing demands
- Prior experience in supporting projects at all stages from business analysis and requirement gathering through to execution and post go live evaluation
- The ability to work on your own initiative, resilient, being proactive, thinking one step ahead and confident working under pressure
- Experience and knowledge of working across health and social care sectors either public or private
· IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project, Visio and Internet
- Motivated and innovative with a positive ‘can do’ attitude

Staff will be expected to carry out their duties in line with their terms and conditions and contract of employment, the standards stated in the staff handbook and will be required to follow HMT policies and procedures.
Staff have a contractual duty to ensure that mandatory training is current and will be expected to participate and undertaken further developmental training specific to their role.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
