Job description

KEY ACTIVITIES

  • Development of methodologies to evaluate and market reservoir chemistries, sand control, dissolvable solutions, swelling elastomer technologies
  • Research & Development of new materials / products covering the full product portfolio
  • Conduct Laboratory testing covering the full product portfolio
  • Technical evaluation of reservoir chemistries, sand control, dissolvable solutions, swelling elastomer technology applications and provision of specifications and recommendations.
  • Provision and management of technical documentation for reservoir chemistries, sand control, dissolvable solutions, swelling elastomer technology tenders, technical proposals and project delivery
  • Technical support of project delivery in line with internal processes, e.g. contract review
  • Product and service improvement in commercialised product range to increase value, reduce cost and increase competitiveness.
  • Develop and evaluate accretive and disruptive technology concepts in line with company strategy
  • Other tasks as required in support of the delivery of Tendekas strategy, corporate milestones and revenue.
  • Technical trainer for reservoir chemistries products and testing.

INDIVIDUAL QHSE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To follow company QHSE Policy, relevant operational procedures, HSE procedures and risk assessments;
  • To communicate and report on any perceived non-conformances or faults in the service provided or in the companys Quality or HSE Management Systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:Higher education to degree level or HND in technical subject
Preferred:Bachelors Degree in chemistry or chemical engineering

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE

Essential:
  • Good understanding of organic chemistry
  • Applied laboratory experience (standalone)
  • An ability to work independently
  • A strong understanding of customers testing requirements.
  • Good problem-solving abilities displaying a logical and pro-active response
  • Demonstrate a strong ability under pressure to meet client delivery expectations.

Preferred:
  • Applied understanding of polymer chemistry
  • Knowledge of drill-in fluids and reservoir interface management/formation damage
  • Knowledge of well construction and reservoir chemistries in particular.
  • Knowledge of swelling elastomer applications, dissolvable solutions and sand face completions
  • Operational experience of completions technology products
  • Knowledge of completion fluids
