THE ROLE
Scientist I – Treg Biology
Quell is looking for a Scientist I to join the Treg Biology team. This individual will report to the senior scientist leading Treg Biology and will be involved in different projects aiming to explore the biology of Tregs to produce next generation Treg therapies. The successful candidate will work closely with the Scientists within the sub-team to conduct experiments, analyse data, and present findings. The Scientist I will be also supporting other teams in R&D to develop our future products.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop and perform complex research assignments.
- Involvement in multiple projects and cross-functional work.
- Provide technical expertise for assay setup, protocol optimisation and troubleshooting.
- Critically analyse data in a timely manner and present findings at team/departmental meetings.
- Maintain highly organised and detailed documentation of experimental procedures and assist in establishing relevant SOPs.
- Collaborate and coordinate work with other teams to meet deadlines and goals.
- Stay up-to-date with literature and new technologies within the cell therapy field.
- Provide guidance and training to new or junior staff.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Advanced understanding of Treg biology.
- Solid understanding of immunology and immunotherapy.
- Extensive experience in immunological assays.
- Solid understanding of and skilled with multi-parameter Flow Cytometry.
- Familiarity with data analysis softwares such as Prism and FlowJo.
- Excellent organisational skills to adhere to deadlines and reach goals.
- Work co-operatively as part of a team as well as independently.
- Good attention to detail and record keeping.
- PhD in Immunology or related subject and 1 year of relevant industry experience
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Experience with the use of the Cytek Aurora and NxT Attune flow cytometers.
- Experience with mouse models of transplantation, autoimmunity, and inflammation.

- Previous experience using electronic lab notebooks.
