As a Finance Data Analyst, you’ll be involved in data analysis, reconciliation and remediation utilising the strategic finance data infrastructure – which contains over £350bn of customer data – to develop and/or refine financial deliverables that aim to reduce manual processes while continuing to meet stakeholder requirements.
Your role will not require any accounting knowledge, which will be held with the rest of the team, but you will have the opportunity to learn from a team keen to share knowledge and learn from yourself.
This is an opportunity to implement real change in a finance team that relies heavily on manual Excel based processes.
The difference you’ll make.
Developing and/or refining pre-existing tools to improve automation in financial reporting processes by reducing the reliance of manual processing
Ensuring key data items are defined, ensuring controls are in place and taking opportunities to improve the quality of data
Working with own team and other stakeholders to ensure key data items meet the regulatory and statutory requirements
Performing reconciliations and validations to maintain data integrity and involvement in remediation if required
Maintaining up to date process documentation for all own processes ensuring EUC compliance
What you’ll bring.
Proficient in using SAS EG including writing SQL, macros and indexes
Experience with working to tight deadlines, ability to plan and manage workload
It would also be nice for you to have.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience in accounting principles and financial reporting would be useful but not required
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all stakeholders
Proactive, task focused and problem solving skills with good attention to detail

This is a permanent position offering flexible working where you will need to attend office 2 days per week.
