SALARY £39,347 to £45,585 per annum

We are now looking for a Project and Engagement Officer to join our Carmarthen campus on a full time, fixed Term basis (until 31st December 2024), working 37 hours per week.
-THE ROLE-
On a day to day basis, the project and engagement officer (PEO) will act as the main point of contact for project partners and participants.
The PEO responsibilities will include:
- Client management and relationship maintenance to effectively manage interactions with project partners and participants, in addition to identifying and liaising with other stakeholders.
- Ensuring effective communication between UWTSD / WAHPL staff, project partners and participants.
- Identifying issues and problem solving.
- Developing marketing materials and coordination of project website and promotion.
- Developing and managing promotional events.
- Leading on development and implementation of compliant systems and procedures for project partner and participant data collection, management and retention.
- Developing project policies and guidelines and risk management.
- Leading on the management and maintenance of accurate records and reports to meet both internal and external and requirements, collating and compiling data for funding claims, audit and document retention to be submitted to the SPF project management team.
- Preparing reports for Project Management Group.
- Adhering to financial regulations.
- Working closely with the Executive Finance team in WAHPL and INSPIRE.
ABOUT YOU
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
- Previous experience of managing, implementing and monitoring project activity
- Experience of client management, successfully engaging others and building positive working relationships with external partners and stakeholders
- Experience of project promotion, including coordinating events/ workshops/ conferences
- Experience in managing data gathering and manipulation using spreadsheet and database packages
- Experience in monitoring the quality of services and tasks to ensure that they are of the highest standards and in accordance with pre-determined parameters; and to make recommendations for, plan and implement procedural changes where required
- Excellent organisational skills including ability to plan and organise own work on a short, medium and long-term basis in accordance with externally set tasks and critical deadlines
- A willingness to support others, and to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to use initiative to identify and resolve problems and make decisions which protect the interests of the University
- High degree of professionalism and commitment to excellent customer service
- Ability to identify and manage risk in relation to own functional activities at project level
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh (oral and written).
