Project Administrator
Our client is a growing business based in South London, who are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join them as a Project Coordinator.
Leading on all administrative tasks relating to individual projects whilst also providing further administrative support to the wider office, you will need to be highly organised, able to work in an ever changing environment and enjoy working to targets and deadlines.
Working closely with the senior managers, you will also have direct contact with local borough councils, developers, suppliers as well as the onsite contractors, so being a confident communicator is a must.
Duties will include:
- Project coordination / administration
- Printing / entering new job enquiries onto online database/system and attaching all documents provided
- Acknowledging email leads by responding to clients
- Follow up on quotations (to confirm customer interest)
- Assist with setting up new projects - lead on all related administration e.g. creating electronic filing and saving relevant documents provided by client (e.g. drawings, consent, etc.)
- Responsible for completing/submitting/chasing all licencing applications
- Responsible for arranging traffic management requirements
- Assisting with the process of inspections/sign off
- Procurement - taking daily orders for materials (e.g concrete) and waste disposal required for each job, selecting the most cost effective supplier, booking in promptly
- Hiring and off-hiring plant/equipment, arranging collection, and logging all associated costs
- Managing and arranging transport of excavators between projects
- Arranging payment of parking for sub-contractors or colleagues on site/attending meetings
- Assisting with obtaining quotes for construction materials/consumables (pipes, manhole rings, timber, etc.)
- Ordering and raising Purchase Orders
We are looking for an individual with an understanding or previous experience working on projects.
Proven experience of being a self-starter, highly organised and able to work using own initiative is a must.
