Job description
Reporting via the SAS Lead Consultant Paramedic, the Programme Lead for OHCA is responsible for delivering all systems of care that will make SAS a world leader in OHCA performance. A key role will be continuing the delivery of the Scotland’s OHCA strategy, aiming to increase survival to 15% by 2026.
The post holder will have a particular focus on the Scottish Ambulance Service role with key partners linked to the delivery of the strategy. This includes enhancing the good practice across all parts of the Service and developing new models of care or partnership working where necessary.
This post demands excellent communication, leadership and influencing skills. You will work effectively in partnership with a diverse range of colleagues internally including the Ambulance Control Centre, Community Resilience and Divisional teams, and externally with other emergency services, and with partners across health and social care and the Third Sector as well as the Scottish Government OHCA Strategy team.
Applicants will be educated to, or working towards MSc level, be a registered healthcare professional with significant post registration experience.
