Purpose of the post

  • Ensure that the people of Gwynedd are at the heart of everything we do.
  • Work within the Early Years unit, playing a central role to support every aspect of the work that is associated with running projects

Responsibility for functions

Main duties

Be responsible for implementing work packs through:

  • Collecting and analysing required information in order to complete the designated work pack products within the expected timetable
  • Complete research and prepare statistical information, including financial elements
  • Undertake general administrative tasks for the programme including arranging and minute-taking meetings, translating documents and arranging translations
  • Complete work associated with the project’s county requirements.
  • Provide information for staff in other services in the Council about the Programme and to external partnerships such as Health
  • Manage budgets for individual projects in accordance with the Council's financial rules and comply with grant conditions and keep a full and accurate records of the work and expenditure.
  • Prepare progress reports and report any problems that could affect the successful completion of the project.
  • Receive and respond to requests for information on issues relating to the projects
  • Collaborate to establish a robust filing system
  • Complete work in accordance with instructions and maintain a procedure to manage document versions
  • Act as the first point of contact for internal and external enquiries relating to the programme
  • Deal with orders and process invoices related to the programme
  • Commission work from external consultants as required
  • Create a rage of different documents e.g. update bulletin, press statements etc.
  • Other relevant duties that are set by the Line Manager
  • Responsibility for self-development.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety rules in the workplace in accordance with the responsibilities noted in the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Council’s Health and Safety Policy.
  • Operate within the Council’s policies in relation to equal opportunities and equality.
  • Responsible for managing information in accordance with the Council’s information management guidelines. Ensure that personal information is treated in accordance with Data Protection legislation.
  • Commitment to reducing the Council’s carbon emissions in accordance with the Carbon Management Plan, and to encourage others to act positively towards reducing the Council’s Carbon Footprint.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duty which corresponds to the salary level and responsibility level of the job.
