St Andrew’s Healthcare is a charity providing specialist mental healthcare services. We work in partnership with a number of NHS, voluntary, educational and research organisations to deliver a range of specialist inpatient and community mental healthcare services, education and research that helps to improve the lives of people with complex mental health needs.
The role
In this exciting new high profile role accountable to our Chief Finance Officer and Director of IT, you will lead and manage a significant business change programme from initiation through to the delivery of solution and realisation of benefits. Your primary responsibility will be the successful delivery of the new capabilities to an agreed level of quality, within agreed budgets and timescales.
This specific programme centres around the implementation of replacement Finance, HR and Procurement applications for the Charity and the delivery of a Learning and Development platform capable of growth into external markets.
Your key areas of responsibility will include:
- The inception of the programme including building the team, defining the solution and preparing funding proposals to our Executive Committee
- Leading the development of programme blueprints, business cases and plans
- Managing the programme to ensure the successful delivery of new capabilities
- Documenting functional and non-functional requirements which can be traced back to business requirements, to be used when liaising with key stakeholders to obtain approval for the solution design
- Liaising with business stakeholders to ensure that all solutions comply with the technical governance framework, and with IT security and risk principles
- Proactively monitoring overall progress, resolving issues, managing risks and implementing corrective action as appropriate
- Managing programme budgets, monitoring expenditure and tracking of benefits realisation
About you
You’ll be an experienced IT Programme Manager with a strong track record of delivering programmes of major change within HR and Finance environments from inception to BAU.
You will have an advanced knowledge of the project lifecycle and an in depth understanding of IT systems, applications and solutions.
You will be an outstanding communicator with the ability to influence at a senior level. You will have a strong attention to detail and be highly skilled at explaining complex strategic plans to all staff levels.
You will have both the breadth and depth of skills to fulfil the role described above and high levels of resilience to lead your teams through a period of significant change.
