The new Serious Violence Duty was launched by the Home Office on the 31st January 2023. Northamptonshire's Serious Violence Alliance was formed as a result and will be responsible for delivering the duty in Northamptonshire. The Alliance recognised the need for a dedicated resource to lead the design, management and coordination of activity under the duty. This post will be integral to bringing together partners and communities to deliver activity whilst also working closely with strategic leads in the OPFCC and the Home Office to monitor and evaluate progress.

Recruitment and Selection Policy
Internal applicants who are at risk of redundancy or in need of redeployment and pass the selection process, will be offered the role over the remaining internal and external applicants.

Police Barred and Advisory lists
Individuals placed on the Police Barred and Advisory lists will not be considered for employment by the police for a minimum of 5 years from the date of listing in the case of gross misconduct, or 3 years from the date of listing in the case of poor performance.
