Division: IT Applications & Data Division (ITADD)
Unit: Data Analytical Tools Unit 2
Location: Chantilly, VA (This position is scheduled to relocate to Huntsville, AL in FY 2026. Positions and/or date of relocations is subject to change based on construction timelines and mission needs.)
Working Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm (Flexible)
Salary: GS-12 $94,199.00-$122,459.00
Full Performance level: GS-12

As of 10/1/2021, the MAPA career ladder has changed and is no longer a GS-7/9/11/12/13. In applying to this position, you will lose the GS-7/9/11/12/13 ladder and will be subject to the new ladder, which is GS-7/9/11, a standalone GS-12, meaning you have to apply and compete for it, and a standalone GS-13, meaning you have to apply and compete for it.

Division Description
The IT Applications and Data Division (ITADD) provides innovative applications and data services across the FBI, touching every employee. Our software helps agents and analysts manage cases, sources, threats, intelligence, evidence, and records. ITADD provides state-of-the-art technologies to simplify data retrieval and dissemination, strengthening the Bureau's ability to meet real-time national security, intelligence, counterintelligence, counterterrorism, and law enforcement challenges.
Major Duties:
- Serve as an advisor to executives and managers on current management practices; program operations, internal working team design, and administrative policies and procedures
- Facilitate communication with customers and Information Technology (IT) owners/SMEs to resolve program/staffing difficulties.
- Prepares and present recommendations and/or findings, executive summaries, and presentation materials to management in written reports, executive summaries, and analytical narratives.
- Gather, interpret, analyze, and correlate narrative, workload, and statistical data regarding the organization/program.
- Research past practices, laws, procedures, and other regulatory materials to resolve complex, difficult, and/or controversial problems/issues that require care in their review, analysis, and resolution.

Specialized Experience (SE):
GS-12: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
- Experience planning, scheduling, and conducting projects and studies in a program or support setting.
- Experience preparing presentations, formal and informal reports, correspondences, briefings, charts, tables, and graphs that were distributed throughout an organization.
- Experience gathering, evaluating, and compiling a variety of analytical data and information to report progress, explain problems discerned with the data, and provide recommendations for solutions.
