Sitting within the College of Business and Social Sciences, Aston Business School (ABS) is part of an elite group of global business schools that hold the gold standard of ‘triple-crown’ accreditation from AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS. ABS is one of the UK’s leading Business Schools for support for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and helped to launch the national Help to Grow: Management programme. Our goal is to enhance enterprise and enterprises. We develop individuals to perform better within enterprises and the professions and to create successful new ventures. We support business leaders in enhancing their organisations’ performance and growth. We advise policy-makers on ways to improve society and the economy. Our impactful research creates new knowledge and skills that further these aspirations for business and policy-makers alike. To further strengthen our research and teaching portfolio, in line with our strategic objectives, ABS wishes to appoint a Professor of Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour or Work Psychology.
The Professor will provide exceptional strategic leadership of research and scholarship in the department and contribute to the strategic leadership of research, scholarship or teaching activities of the School of the school through professional practice and expertise. They will also foster internal and external collaboration with regional, UK and international businesses and other relevant bodies as appropriate to subject discipline and School strategy. We are very interested in candidates who have expertise in human resource management, organisational behaviour or work psychology.
Candidates will be expected to demonstrate an excellent track record of personal research achievement in a relevant area, together with experience of and commitment to delivering high quality, innovative teaching. They will have a proven record of success in securing competitive research funding and experience of successful PhD supervision. Candidates will also be able to show experience working of working with businesses and other relevant external bodies.
