Job description

We are seeking to appoint a new Chair of Emergency Medicine working jointly across Swansea University Medical School and Swansea Bay University Health Board. You will have an established and evidenced track record of research, teaching, leadership, and management within emergency medicine.

You will work within the Welsh Centre for Emergency Medicine Research that was formed in 2019 with a view to both sustaining and promoting the growth of academic emergency medicine in Wales and beyond. The Centre was formed as part of a strong collaboration between Swansea Bay University Health Board, the Royal College of Emergency Medicine, and Swansea University.

You will be expected to maintain an international profile in research, supervision, and scholarly activity commensurate with a professorial role.

Your research interests are expected to align with those of the Medical School -https://www.swansea.ac.uk/medicine/research/.

As you will be working jointly across Swansea University Medical School and Swansea Bay University Health Board, for full transparency of the role there are two separate job descriptions, providing details of the expectations with Swansea Bay University Health Board and Swansea University Medical School.
