The Hiring Heroes are on the lookout for Textile Operatives for a well established textile manufacturer in the Ossett area. We are looking for anybody with tufting experience to join their forward-thinking company.

Please note this job will involve working 3 shift patterns, one week morning, one week afternoons and one week night shift.

YOU MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ALL 3 SHIFTS.

Job role

• Safe operation of carpet tufting machinery and equipment in line with company ‘standard operating procedures’, in order to make excellent quality carpet.
• We're looking for someone dexterous with nimble fingers and a great work ethic, who can lift some light and heavy weighted creels.
• Ensure all products are manufactured to specification.
• Help maintain a safe working environment by having a proactive approach to safety and housekeeping.
• Ensure all equipment defects are reported and logged, via the team leader, onto the company maintenance system.
• Complete all process paperwork / computer work in an accurate and timely manner.
• Have good team working, a ‘can do’ attitude and a willingness to work flexibly
• To work in a professional manner at all times and comply with the company’s policy and procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet standards
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Experience

• Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred
• Knowledge of garment construction, millwork, or related industries is a plus
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for long periods of time
• Proficient in using various tools and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills

The Hours are 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm and 10pm-6am Monday to Friday, these are a rotation shift and NOT set shifts.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From £10.75 per hour
