About the Role

The business is owned and run by Tim Wearden, working with a small regular and experienced group of colleagues. The specific apprenticeship opportunity here is for someone who can shadow Tim both in the office and on the events/tours.

The right candidate will learn the tech side of the business (particularly sound), assist with the management and administrative tasks and work in our warehouse preparing equipment for the events/tours.

The role will frequently require evening and weekend work, to naturally fit in with the needs and expectations of the clients and their events.

We view this role as great opportunity for the right apprentice to learn and gain confidence in the basics and then become part of the core team.

The business is currently in a rapid growth phase, and additionally is looking to grow the touring business considerably to cover more aspects including provision of vehicles and rehearsal facilities

There is an opportunity for the right apprentice to become part of the core team moving forwards, as the company expands its client-base and breadth of activities.

Skill Required:

  • A keen interest in technology is essential, ideally with a basic understanding of sound and lighting equipment
  • Someone with a driving license
  • Someone creative, hard-working and adaptable to different situations
  • A musical background, though not essential, would definitely be favorable

Skill Required:

A well-presented person who will represent our ethos and principles when working with clients, and uphold and enhance the reputation of the business.

Training to be Provided:

  • In-house mentoring
  • Level 3 Events Assistant

Things to consider:

The apprenticeship programme and employment are inclusive of each other. You will need to demonstrate excellent levels of commitment to both the training and job role. You will work at GE Production 80% of the time, and study in further education 20% of the time.

Qualifications Required:

Five GCSEs at Grades A*-C or 9 – 4 (including English & Maths), Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths, or a relevant Level 2 Apprenticeship.
Future Prospects:

Potential permanent position post Apprenticeship
