Location: Govan & Scotstoun - Glasgow
Salary: £28 363 (plus overtime and shift allowance)
What you’ll be doing:
- Following clear instructions to safely set-up work sites, getting the right equipment to the right people safely and quickly
- Acting as liaison to ensure tools, materials and information are at the workface in an expedient manner
- Offering general support to maintain cleanliness and care and protection of equipment and work areas
- Using tools and equipment safely, effectively when trained to do so
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Basic English reading and writing skills are necessary.
- Able to thrive in a physically demanding role and environment
Desirable:
- Background in construction / labouring would be beneficial

The Production Trade Assistant team:
We are now recruiting Production Trade Assistants to work alongside experienced qualified trade people and production supervisors. You will be setting up work sites, getting the right equipment to the right people quickly and safely, ensuring materials are available, technical information is at hand and checking worksites (whether on vessels or in workshops) are clear of hazards and is safe for you and the team to work in.
Joining a team of experienced, creative, production trade shipbuilders no shipbuilding experience is required as full training will be provided.
