WHAT YOU'LL DO
Strategic alliances are now an essential part of our firm meeting ever-evolving needs of clients and markets. The Global Strategic Alliances team is establishing a management and tactical role for an early-career candidate with relevant management consulting and business development experience to help advance and operationalize our strategic partnerships across growth technology and climate topics. This role functions as a lead working across BCG’s industry and functional practice areas including Technology & Digital Advantage (TDA) and BCG.X client teams.
You will be required to navigate a diversity of topics and themes across four pillars of activity: business development, go-to-market, brand building, and enablement. The ideal candidate for this role is a proactive and organized self-starter who is entrepreneurial, keen to build relationships across the firm, and passionate about technology and climate innovations. As we work to define and execute go-to-market offerings, you will evangelize these offers across BCG while ensuring alignment of firm, practice, and client priorities.
This role provides direct leverage to leadership supporting the organization, strategy, and development of our partner ecosystem center of excellence within BCG.
YOU'RE GOOD AT
- Deal lifecycle program management, business development, go-to-market & revenue:
o Day-to-day oversight of deal pipeline between ecosystem partners and BCG
o Proactively identify and pursue opportunities
o Activist PMO to unblock challenges across BCG
o Work with technical teams at our ecosystem partners and BCG to problem solve issues arising during day to day
- Initiation and activation of new joint use cases:
o Identify and shape opportunities for standardized offers of joint ecosystem partners as well as BCG services based on existing deals and POCs
o Drive development of world-class materials to promote use cases internally (within ecosystem partners and BCG) and externally
- Ongoing management of existing alliances:
o Diligent tracking of outcomes and drive reporting within alliance partners and BCG
o Ensure proper “tagging” of opportunities within CRM
- Cultivating community and brand awareness through events and content creation:
o Facilitate executive conversations and engagement, including managing end-to-end event execution and follow-ups
o Create engaging newsletters, blog posts, and social media copy to educate the global community about key advancements with our partners
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
8+ years of work experience in management consulting or business development - experience working for or with technology ecosystems, major cloud and enterprise business application providers a plusWork experience at, or direct experience working with, BCG preferred
Strong knowledge of, and interest in, industry trends, technology solutions, and digital products - including analytics, AI, and business applications
Experience with complex cross-functional stakeholder identification, cultivation, and management
Mature written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate new ideas that garner executive support and excitement
Strong interpersonal skills and trusted peer, advisor, and team member
Our business management and operations team members work to ensure that BCG is running smoothly, efficiently, and productively. We are made up of executive and administrative (or case team) assistants, visual service artists, receptionists, facilities staff, and the team leaders and office coordinators who manage these operations and business management jobs.
