Job description

As the Product Manager, you will be at the forefront of our mission to design & deliver cutting-edge subscription management solutions and be responsible for defining & shaping the functional & technical evolution of Aptitude Software’s subscription management product offering, enabling our clients & partners to excel in the competitive world of subscription-based services.

Performing a key role, you will collaborate closely with Commercial, Client Success & Marketing functions to identify opportunities to drive growth within target sectors and safeguard & expand revenue from the existing client & partner base; and plan & coordinate the activity of product owners, architects, engineering managers and other cross-functional teams, to capture requirements, design, develop & release high quality software in alignment with the company's overall methodology, and drive the success and growth of eSuite.


Key Responsibilities:

Gathering Ideas and Prioritizing:

  • Curate and gather ideas for new products and features from various sources, including customers, market research, and internal stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and prioritize product ideas based on factors such as customer demand, market trends, and business goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to decide which product ideas are worth pursuing and align with the company's strategy.

Market Analysis and Competitive Research:

  • Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and pain points.
  • Analyze industry trends, competitive products, and market dynamics to identify opportunities for product innovation.
  • Define strategies to create products that not only match but surpass current industry standards.

Product Vision and Strategy:

  • Support the development and communication of the product vision, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Create and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the direction and timeline for product development.
  • Define clear product positioning and messaging to differentiate the product in the market.

Product Requirements and Development:

  • Collaborate with product owners, engineering and support teams to create detailed product requirements, including functional specifications and user stories.
  • Work closely with design teams to ensure the product's user interface and user experience meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Balance customer needs with technical and business constraints, advocating for the best interests of the product and its users.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Communicate the product vision and strategy effectively to the sales and product marketing teams to drive market share and successful product launches.
  • Advocate for the product and the product team, ensuring alignment with company goals.

Testing, Feedback, and Improvement:

  • Oversee the testing, ensuring product quality and reliability.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product improvements and enhancements.
  • Continuously monitor and assess the health and performance of the product and its team members.

Product Lifecycle Management:

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and sales, to plan and execute product launches.
  • Track and measure product performance using key metrics and KPIs, making data-driven decisions for adjustments and enhancements.
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from inception through development, launch, and ongoing maintenance.

Team Management:

  • Manages a team of product owners or related roles, providing leadership, guidance, and support.
  • Monitors team health and performance, addressing any challenges and fostering professional growth.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills & experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role with a track record of successfully leading and growing product lines.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to balance customer-centricity with business objectives.
  • Knowledge of subscription management software or related industry experience is a plus.
