Catalent Pharma Solutions, Swindon are rapidly expanding as we secure more commercial business for our Zydis Ultra product. We are seeking to recruit 18 x full time permanent Production Operators to join our team.
This is a shift based role, 2 days, 2 nights 4 off including weekends (07:30-19:30, 19:30-07:30)
We are looking for entry level Production Technicians (Trainee Technician) to join our production team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a pharmaceutical manufacturing setting which will include highly regulated, clean room GMP environments. Full training will be provided and will present you with an excellent opportunity to build your career within our manufacturing facility.
Our Swindon site is the home of our Zydis fast-dissolve technology. Zydis is a unique, freeze-dried oral solid dosage (tablet) form that disperses instantly in the mouth— no water required. The Role
Operate equipment in the relevant area/line in accordance with written instructions and under the supervision of the relevant Technicians. (To include but not restricted to: Dispensing and Mixing, Form Fill, Sealer, Secondary Packaging etc) in accordance with documented instructions, including ensuring all equipment is calibrated and fit for use.
Assisting Technicians in the relevant area/line in accordance with the requirements of the batch documentation and/or the relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Load/unload & clean the freeze driers.
Inspect dried products for defects in accordance with documented procedures.
Report any deviations or failures immediately to the relevant Technicians
Complete documentation in an accurate manner in accordance with the requirements of GMP.
To perform other production tasks, i.e. general housekeeping and equipment cleaning as is required to ensure that GMP standards are maintained and that no cross contamination of products or people results.
Ensure safe working practices are employed through knowledge of all pertinent safety procedures, e.g. fire and low O2 procedures.
Carry out all procedures accurately in accordance with the relevant standard operating procedures and with due regard for the safety of others
To monitor, report and progress all damage to the fabric of the plant.
The Candidate
PPE (full body suit and mask) may be a requirement during the working shift, note the use of RPE will require the individual to be clean shaven around the mask seal area.
Good standard of oral and written English - required
Able to follow written instructions
Able to complete written batch records
Good IT skills
GMP work experience preferable
Manufacturing experience an advantage
Manual handling up to 15kg
