- Overall responsibility for key areas in production and a team of Team Leaders and operators on dayshift
- Understand customers and brand strategic and operational requirements, and work towards meeting them through development and implementation of the Manufacturing strategy - OTIF
- Ensure all Good Manufacturing Practice Standards and area targets are understood and worked towards
- Ensure labour resources are in line with budget and utilisation
- Develop a framework of Knowledge and Skills to deliver the strategy for Classic and Prestige
- Deliver measurable department/area efficiency performance improvements via teams’ engagement in CI systems, tools and techniques, and team ownership of business KPIs
- Develop a quality and service level mindset within the team that focuses on Operational Excellence and achieving the “best”
- To develop and deliver Edrington’s OPEX philosophy engage with all team members to understand the business and personal benefits of continuous improvement using lean tools
- To produce appropriate customer requirements on time, in full and to the agreed quality and service level standards
- Monitor and work to achieve budget targets for manufacturing focussing on quality, cost and delivery
- Promote, develop and maintain a team culture that promotes and engages with business CI strategies
- To understand, promote and deliver personal and managerial responsibility under Health and Safety legislation
The successful applicant will lead by example to set behavioural standards for themselves and team, aligned to GSC/Manufacturing OPEX standards, systems and strategy. They will strategically & tactically work at the line to promote best practice and standards to create culture of high performing teams across manufacturing. They will motivate and stretch teams through regular 1:1s with direct reports to discuss performance and development, formally and informally managing employee performance. The successful candidate must ensure alignment and delivery of work with regular team meetings to discuss performance and priorities using current Tier meetings and management systems. They will also manage employee grievance and disciplinary issues, as required, with HR support.
