Scientist - Production Support : Assay Production Support
We have an exciting opportunity for Scientist to work with Simon Cross in our Production Support : Assay Production Support Department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the completion of experiments and investigations for production improvement and support activities. You will have ownership of a series of projects and will be responsible for ensuring that they are completed accurately, concisely and on time.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Completion of Non-conformance reports, investigations and experimental reports.
  • Support in the manufacture of products to ensure critical quality attributes and customer needs are met.
  • Instigate and complete change orders on the back of improvement activities allowing for incorporation of changes into manufacturing.
  • Review and investigate complaints raised with Production Support by the Customer Support teams, providing appropriate feedback to the Technical Support teams that can be shared with customers.
  • To be responsible for ensuring strict adherence to quality-controlled processes and procedures including but not limited to monitoring, control and improvement.
  • To ensure any complaints, QA issues and audit non-conformances are dealt with efficiently and promptly.
  • Monitoring performance of key reagents and carry out trend analysis.
  • Using data, highlight improvement opportunities within Production and R&D, or highlight areas of good practice.
Essential:
  • BSc / MSc in Biology or Chemistry (or related scientific discipline) is essential.
  • Previous laboratory work experience
  • Ability to draft policies and procedures
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • The ability to multi-task and work to set deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to problem solve and make informed decisions
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • To be flexible to the needs of the business
