Job description
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for leading production work-centre teams to maximise output and minimise waste. Leadership of work-centre activities will focus upon the key priorities of Safety, Quality, Output, Delivery Performance and Cost.
Due to company growth, we are recruiting for a hands-on, energetic Production Supervisor. This role would be supporting the growth and development of our Production Team Leaders, managing the wider factory floor and alongside the Production Manager, implementing processes and procedures for continuous improvement. You will focus on maximising production output whilst maintaining a safe and organised work environment.
You will obtain management experience and will lead your team to success within our fast-moving, multi-disciplined manufacturing operation.
Your main responsibilities will include:
· Engaging, motivating, and developing the Production Team Leaders and their direct reports.
· Drive continuous improvement within the area by working alongside wider management and floor teams.
· Ensuring that Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) safety, quality and auditory standards are always monitored and achieved.
· Coordinate both shifts to progress issues concerning planning, processes, procedures, or equipment to ensure delivery of all customer orders to time, quality, and cost.
· Liaise with sales team and other departments on a day-to-day basis.
· Drive operator efficiency.
· Ensure machine utilisation.
The role of Production Supervisor will require an extremely capable, committed, enthusiastic and robust individual to succeed. You will be passionate about managing performance, leading, and developing people and will have excellent communication skills with a can-do attitude.
