Shift A: Mon Fri rotating shift 05:30-14:00 then 13:30-22:00
Shift B: Mon Fri rotating shift 13:30-22:00 then 05:30-14:00

Cranswick Convenience Foods is one of the largest cooked meat processors in the UK, supplying multiple customers, the food service sector, and further processors. Our operations Supervisors lead a production team to deliver the daily Operational plans within their area.
Ensure the processes, production and quality of our products meet the safest and highest specification as per customer and company requirements. The Supervisor will also create a dynamic and friendly environment for their teams to work in. This is a hands-on role where the Supervisor will be required to partake in production activities from time to time and ensure that their teams are working to the required Health & Safety and Food Safety requirements.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Ensure the daily plans are delivered for their area and escalate any production issues to the Section or Department Manager.
- Ensure their teams comply with company and legislative health & safety, food safety and personal hygiene procedures and regulations.
- Participate in training of procedures and ensure the team all follow them correctly.
- Assist the operational management in the department to achieve or improve performance targets.
- Ensure that agreed GMP standards are maintained, and green results are achieved on weekly audits by the technical team.
- Work alongside other Supervisors and Section / Department Manager to reduce production NCR's maintaining levels to the green standard.
- Promote team training and development by conducting team appraisals, and on the job training.
- Provide cover for the Section Manager / Department Manager in their absence.
- Ensure Employee Relations work is completed for their team, such as recruitment, disciplinaries, performance management, etc.
- Promote teamwork and exceeding customer and company expectations in all areas.
- Be representative of the company's high standards at all times and to conduct yourself in a professional and positive manner.
- Ensure that all required paperwork for your shift is completed, and systems updated.
- Conduct a shift handover to ensure excellent Operation across the week.
- Lead and inspire a successful team, and develop the team through effective objective setting, feedback, support and stretch targets.
- Any other task as reasonably requested by their line manager.
Technical skills and experience:
- Experience of working as a successful Team Leader or Supervisor.
- Good Knowledge of basic food hygiene / health and safety principles.
- Good Literacy & numeracy levels – able to write and speak in English.
- IOSH working safely
- Food Safety level 2
- All required compliance training will be provided by Cranswick.
- Previous experience of leading an engaged and high performing team.
- Good reliability and good timekeeping.
- Conscientious with a good ability to communicate with others.
- Willingness to learn and be a good team player.
- Leads by example and can create a positive working environment for their teams.
- Takes co-operative, enthusiastic and orderly approach, helping to complete production tasks when required.
- Flexible approach with ability to carry out a wide variety of tasks and adapt to the changing needs of the Company.
