We are hiring for an additional Physicist who will work i n the Product Engineering team and report into the Optical Engineering Team Leader. The Physicist will work provide optical expertise across Andor’s product portfolio. These products include Spectrographs, Microscopy Systems, Instruments and Cameras. This role will focus on delivering a new product quality test suite as part of a multi-disciplinary team including software engineers.
Key responsibilities will include p roviding innovative, robust and scalable solutions to complex technical problems, delivering continuous improvement in imaging products in the manufacturing context, supporting product enhancements in line with development roadmap and p laying a key role in further development of camera or instrument performance test suites in a production environment.
The Physicist will have:
2.1 (or higher) BSc or MSci qualification in a Physical Science or related discipline such as Physics, Electronic Eng or Opto-Electronic engineering, and 3 years relevant experience
OR
National Diploma (or equivalent) in a Physical Science or related discipline such as Physics, Electronic Eng or Opto-Electronic engineering and 5 years relevant experience.
This position is based on site at our Belfast headquarters.
