Job description

Silberline Ltd

Silberline is a global manufacturing company, producing Aluminium pigments used in the finished coatings of many top tier automotive brands, helping them create the colours of the future. Third generation and family owned, with Global HQ in the USA, our Leven base was established in 1975 to support the European and African markets.

We are proud and passionate about our products, our history, and our quality.

The role

We believe in safety first.

As an Operator you will grow and develop your manufacturing skills alongside our existing team – and become the process experts in our plant and equipment. We encourage personal development and rely on you to identify any process failures, as well as enact process improvements through our internal Lean/Six Sigma programme.

You will be responsible and accountable to carry out a set range of process procedures and in-line testing to produce aluminium effect pigments, communicating clearly with your work colleagues regarding issues that may affect safety, quality, productivity, etc.

You will maintain a safe and organised workplace environment through adherence to 5S, and operate machinery and plant processes, as defined in the company’s standard operating procedures, to a high standard, including daily checks in your designated work area.

You will need the ability to work a rotating shift pattern, comprising of dayshift, backshift, and nightshift on a 24/5 or 24/7 shift pattern.

This role will entail some physical manual handling activities.

You

Our process requires craftsmen. Through both on the job and course work training, you will learn and develop specific skills and knowledge, and become the expert in your process. Bring your curiosity and enthusiasm, and like many in our family here, there will be opportunity to progress internally to Team Leads and Shift Managers as a career, including the potential to move within disciplines to quality or engineering specific roles.
