Production Operative - Filling Hall Manchester, England
Job description
We are currently looking to recruit for Filling Hall Production Operatives to work within the Manchester Müller Dairy. The salary is up to £28,600.
This position involves operating designated lines to achieve daily operations targets and maintain hygiene standards.
Please note, this position involves working a shift pattern of 4 on 4 off (2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off) from 7AM - 7PM (days) and 7PM - 7AM (nights).
Key tasks as a Filling Hall Production Operative:
- Operating plant/equipment, including bottle size changes
- Ensuring availability of materials and packaging are available
- Work alongside operators to carry out start up procedures (including housekeeping, hygiene and Health & Safety)
- Ensuring effective shift handovers take place
- Monitor product quality, highlighting non-conformance and taking appropriate corrective action to maintain the highest quality product
- Ensure SIC and quality information is correct
- Complete all documentation to an accurate and high standard
- Train operators, ensuring competence to perform all allocated jobs
- Rectify minor faults and escalate major problems to Shift leads as necessary
- Full adherence to standard operation procedures, company standards, Health & Safety procedures and other site policies and procedures
- Prompt reporting of any near misses
- Maintain hygienic standards of the production environment and general housekeeping of your working area
Key skills & experience:
- Previous machine experience within a fast moving production environment is desirable
- Basic Health and Safety and food hygiene
- Problem solving skills
- A good level of numeracy and literacy skills
- Previous experience with food products and materials
- Positive thinking, well motivated, works well on own initiative and shows good timekeeping
