Due to increased Sales in the UK and Internationally, we are looking for our next member of the UK Production team to help with assembling and producing lighting control products. This role requires a flexible work ethic as you will be required to work across different teams as required by the needs of the business.

This role is based 5 days a week at our Dartford office and the team works 8 - 4, Monday to Friday.

What you'll be doing as our Production Operative:

  • Producing lighting control products to a production schedule to meet order demand within cost and quality requirements.
  • Communication of current constraints and future concerns with Production Manager.
  • Real time updates to production environment databases.
  • Working to latest production procedures and part/test specifications.
  • Adherence to identified Health and Safety requirements.

Some key actions in this role:

  • Maintain accurate records in line with existing company procedures.
  • Manufacturing lighting control products/systems in accordance with current legislation and Helvar processes and procedures.
  • Ensure products are built to controlled build specification.
  • To alert the Production Manager of problems with material specification/shortage or tooling problems.
  • Advise the Production Manager of the current production status on a regular basis.

  • Able to work both alone or as part of a team with a flexible approach
  • Good organizational skills with a proactive approach
  • Good communicator with a cheerful disposition
  • Willingness to train / learn new skills as deemed necessary, based upon the role and the needs of the business
  • A keen interest in technology
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Has worked in a production line environment
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and/or drawings
  • A recognized qualification in electronics with an engineering bias or equivalent experience
