We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven individual to join our team as a Database & IT Manager at UK Energy Bureau Ltd. As a market leader in business utility switching, we are dedicated to providing our customers with an exceptional service. We are looking for someone who can maintain, clean and aid growing our UK database while also implementing an IT function within the business.
Position: Database & IT Manager
Salary: £25-31k per year (DOE)
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 9am to 5pm and Friday, 9am to 4pm
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, clean, and ensure the integrity of our UK database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information. This involves using BOTS to scrape data, so experience here is a must
- Develop strategies to grow the UK database by identifying new data sources and implementing effective data acquisition techniques
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) for database growth and maintenance
- Conduct regular audits and data cleansing activities to optimize database quality and compliance
- Implement data protection measures and ensure compliance with relevant data privacy regulations in the UK
- Collaborate with the senior management team to optimize database performance and implement necessary upgrades or improvements
- Contribute to the development of data-driven insights and reporting to support business decision-making processes
- Manage IT solutions with employees
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of maintaining an existing database and how to evolve this
- Organized and methodical approach to work
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in working with spreadsheets (xls)
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and use own initiative
- Keen attention to detail
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent command of spoken and written English, communicating in a manner that staff understand
- Patience, empathy, and a strong desire to provide excellent customer service
- Excellent computer skills (e.g. SQL, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Professional Certification)
- Consistently productive and motivated to make a difference every day
- Experience in a support role involving both software and hardware
