Job description
Con Mech Engineers is a local firm based in Stanley, Co Durham. We have over 70 years in manufacturing ground engaging tools, precision engineering and offer a world class heat treatment service.
A vacancy has arisen for a Production Operative within our Blademaster Division, the main duties include:
Operating various machines from press brakes, bevelling and punch press machines
Moving of parts from one machine to another using a fork lift truck
Reading and understanding basic engineering drawings.
Following process on works orders.
Ensure a high standard of quality
Operating lifting equipment
Experience in a similar manufacturing environment with heavy engineering preferred.
Normal Hours of work are:
07.30 - 16.00 Monday to Thursday
07.30 - 15.00 Friday
The above will be until you are trained and ready to go on shift. Shift working is on a weekly rotation basis of 06.00 - 14.00 and 14.00 - 22.00 Monday to Thursday. Friday are 06.00 - 14.00 or 10.00 - 18.00.
Full training will be given to the successful applicant.
